Recommendation: This is a book for people who like action and adventure. It is like watching a James Bond movie. Their are exciting scenes, cool gadgets, and heroic events.
Summary: This story is about a boy named Alex Rider who becomes someone he never he thought he would be. He is a regular English school boy who is living with his uncle. He never knew much about his uncle and what he did. One day he finds out that his uncle was killed in a car crash. He searches to see what really happened and finds that his uncle was not killed in a car crash. He was asked to go to the bank where his uncle worked. Their he finds that it wasn't a bank but a Government agency called M16. They tell him that his uncle was a spy. They want Alex to go undercover to watch a man that the agency is investigating. The man is giving out brand new computers to all the English schools they want to know why. Alex excepts their offer, but he needs a little more training.
Explanation: I gave this book a five star rating. I just really enjoyed this book. It was full of exciting parts. Their were lots of action and adventure. It just made me want to keep reading to see what happens. Anthony Horowitz makes his books fun to read. These are also a series and keeps on telling more of the story.
Favorite Passage: "Alex hadn't gone to school even though, secretly, he wanted to. He would have preferred to escape back into normal life, the clang of the bell, the crowds of familiar faces, instead of sitting here, trapped inside the house." -chapter 1
I like this passage because the author brings out the story really well. He describes Alex like he was a real person. And his want to go and do stuff instead of being stuck in the house. The author is very good in making his characters seem real.
