Trifles by Susan Glaspell, A Doll House by Henrik Ibsen

These are not books, but rather plays. Both empower women. If you want to read a shorter piece, go for Trifles by Susan Glaspell. If you want to read something that was performed for the first and last time at BYU-Idaho about 25 years ago (but was immediately banned from the school after people threatened to close the school's theatre department), read A Doll House by Henrik Ibsen. If you want the full feminist experience, read both! Get a friend to read them with you and you will have incredible intellectual conversations.

Impress you grandma. Read these plays.

W ou le Souvenir D'enface by Geroges Perec

Although I have not yet finished this book, I am finding it cumbersome and droll. So far the plot has been slightly muddled, riddled with obscure memories of a childhood that was lost because of World War II and the author's loss of his parents in the Holocaust. The chapters alternate between two identities, one more interesting than the other. However, once part 2 has begun, the more interesting identity vanishes into a very precise description of a desolate island.
Overall I would not recommend this novel, especially for beginners in French Literature. I have been reading novels in French for 2 years, and this is definitely a challenge for me.

Peter Pan-A full recommendation

This book is one of the best I've read so far. I am a fan of classics, and of all that I've read, this is the best. It just has a very child like way of explaining everything going on in the book. Just trust me, read the first paragraph and if you don't like it, please stop!!! But I doubt you won't like it.

Welcome!

The end of reading is not more books but more life.

There is nothing better in this world than a good book. Sometimes we just need to be pointed in the right direction. This is a blog about books. Good books. Bad books. And everything in between. Write what you feel. Is it the worst book you have ever read? Make sure someone doesn't make the same mistake. Did the book make you see something in a different light? Let us be inspired too. Did the character remind you of somebody you know? Make connections. Share what you think.
