Recommendation: To kill a mocking bird is a good book for anyone who is interested
in racial inequality and how it reflected on American Society.
This is an American classic that talks about innocence, knowlege, prejudice, and courage that people should read.

Summary: Maycomb's lawyer Atticus always believes that it is sin to kill innocent lives and it is right to follow and do what he believes.
He is defending Tom who is a black man accused of raping a young white woman. When he takes this case, he knows that he will lose.
The case is the biggest thing to hit Maycomb society and turns out almost everyone in the town is against Atticus.
Tom Robinson is innocent but is proved guilty. Maycomb society allows the young white woman to win because Tom was an African American.

Explanation of Rating: I do not like these classic books, but to kill a mocking bird was such an incredible book that I couldn't stop reading.
How Atticus was justice and tried he best on defending Tom Robinson gave me a better perspective about the racial inequality.
The line in the book "Shoot, all the bluejays you want, but remember its a sin to kill mockingbird" is referring to Tom Robinson.
He symbolises a mockingbird because what mockingbirds do is sing and do nothing harmful things.
In the story, people eventually kills an innocent black man. Even Atticus' little children could see what people were doing to
Tom and knew it was wrong. It was very enjoyable to see what was it like back in late 1900.

Favorite Passage: "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view-
until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."

This book is talks about how people judge others before they get to know them. Many things happen because of that.
Through many events happen in this book, Scout, the main character, learned that no matter how they are different, her town people are just people.
No one is better or lesser than others because they are all same people. Once you get to know them, most of people and kind and nice no matter how they look like on the outside.
