He had to go to the hospital where he meets the girl of his dreams ,his nurse, and they fall in love. most of the book is about them in Italy trying to stay alive day to day so that when the war is over they can be together. this book is really good because it is very descriptive and goes into a lot of detail on a lot of interesting things.

explanation of rating: I really like this book because it goes into descriptive detail. It also talks about how Italy is and stuff like that. This book has many side stories that are very interesting. I also like the battles that Henry is in. It really relates to how real life is. It makes you think a lot about stuff.

Favorite Passage: "I have always been afraid of the rain...I am afraid of the rain because sometimes I see me dead in it." Page - 126

I like this passage because it describes how scary it would be to be involved in a real life war. And how lonely it would be.
