The people that would like this book are those that like mysteries. There is a lot of action in this book as well. If you like a fast paced read this book is for you.

The Da Vinci Code is about a college professor, Robert Langdon. Robert is a specialist on the legend of the holy grail. When he gets a call from a detective in France about a murder he goes to help investigate. He arrives to find his name scrawled in blood on the floor and a clue about the holy grail. The detective suspects him, but he escapes with a decoder who believes that he was innocent. They follow the clue that the dead man left behind, to another clue. They continue to face challenges and great puzzles. They begin to unravel a great mystery and a shocking surprise.

I rated this book the way I did for several reasons. It is a great mystery and I like mystery books. There is a lot of action and intense moments in the book. Dan Brown has a great writing style and it really drags you in. He does a really good job developing the characters. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5/5 is because he doesn't expound on some things enough.

"The ancient male symbol was the blade, it's a basic phallus. It's still used today on military uniforms" Robert Langdon
