Summary: At last, Damon has Elena. But now Elena is a vampire. And everyone in town thinks she’s dead. Elena can’t remember anything before the accident, including her love for Stefan. Stefan is heartbroken, but won’t let Damon turn her into a monster. But weird things are happening in town again, and this time its not Damon. Can Elena gain her memory, and love for Stefan back? Can Elena, Stefan, and Damon team up to fight the deep evil that is taking over Fells Church??? Read to find out in the intense third book of the series! Things are not always what they seem…
Explanation of Rating: This was my favorite book of the series. There are so many twists and intense parts in this story my eyes were glued to the book. The frightening and romantic story is a shocker, and will leave you breathless.
Favorite Passage: “Don’t, Elena thought, but at that moment, standing in the cool twilight of the choir loft, she felt that it was true, that they were all three connected, and in accord, and strong.” –Chapter 6
I love this passage because they are finally realizing they are in it together, and there is no other option. They are all stronger together and they could maybe have a chance of stopping the evil taking over. Awesome!
