****Really liked it!!
I recommend this book to younger woman or teenagers who are up for a good laugh. There is alot of sarcasim in this book, and much tipical drama in a high school world. Reading this girls story might inspire you to have a different prespective on the way you live. It will give you a good perspective to have the courage to stand up for something you believe is true, and the willingness to overcome mistakes made in trying to make a difference in this world. I also recommend this book for the parents, teachers, and administrators who listen to them.

With this 16 year old girls mother gone to a south american jungle, Poe Holly has to live with the dad she's never known for at least a year. Benders Hollow, California is a sterile perfect little town almost the exact opposite of Los Angelos. Poe is a former singer in an LA band, and a current punker with black fingernails. She felt very out of place in Benders Hollow. Poe meets a boy named Theo Dorr when she goes to Bender's high. She also meets Velveeta, her strange neighbor who happens to be the victim of every prank at school. Poe seems to butt heads with alot of people. She likes to stand up for what she believes is true, that includes with her family, with her friends, with kids at school, and even the teachers and administration. Velveeta is one of poe's friends and Colby Morris (The invincible football star) likes to bully velveeta around alot. The pranks start to get deadly, and poe knows she is the only one who is going to stop it. Theo (her boyfriend) helps her to make Colby Morris pay for what he did and stop him from continuing to hurt velveeta. Poe's experience in Benders Hollow and with the new and different people helped her face different situations and then learned alot about the struggles in life and how to face the bullies at school, in her family and even in herself.

I rated this a good book because it really keeps me reading it, and it's always interesting. There is a lot of statements and opions in this book, and it inspires me to look inside other peoples problems and not just mine before i say something. There is a lot of statements like that in the book that make you think about the passages said, and really let's you look inside yourself and others. I also got a good laugh in this book, it's very sarcastic and hilarious.

Your mom was wrong to do what she did and you dad was wrong to roll over and walk out of your life and the school is wrong and so is Colby Morris and so is velveeta for getting back at him with the car-bashing thing. But you know what that means? It means the world is never going to be perfect for you, andif you expect to force it to be, you're wrong too. 2. I'm going to sing, my mom is going back to South Aftrica, my dad is going to burrow himself in his study to write, and this world is going to keep going around like a wobbly wheel with a bent axle. I enjoy this passage because what i get from it is that you can try and make a difference in this world but it's never going to be perfect in fact it's always going to be like a wobbly wheel with a bent axle.
