Recommendation: I recommend that everyone should read this book. Those who like adventure and stuff would enjoy reading this book. It starts out like it's going to be a sad book but then later on, it surprises you! Read this book!
Summary: A teenager named Stanley Yelnats is just an average everyday fat kid, until one day something changes his lifestyle. He gets responsible for a crime he did not commit. Stanley and his family think it's because of a curse that was given to them a long time ago. Stanley gets sent to Camp Green Lake where he has to dig holes and has to watch out for yellow-spotted lizards. Stanley then finds a good friend, treasure and gets rid of his family's curse. Many awesome events happen and also many intense ones. Stanley learns many things about himself later on. This book does have a happy ending. ☺
Explanation of Rating: I rated this book 4 stars because that's how i feel it is. My point of view can differ than other people's point of view. I enjoyed reading this book but it wasn't the best book ever made. 5 stars is that it is the best book ever made, so that's why I didn't rate it 5 stars. Some negatives about this book is that it's a bit too cheesy at some parts. Other than that, it's a great and interesting book.
Favorite Passage: "Zero, is that you?"- That was my favorite passage because when Stanley finds Zero in the desert, he doesn't know if it's Zero because he was so dirty. I thought it was funny.
